In July 1998 ASEAN established a task force to collect and report ASEAN FDI statistics. This publication, Statistics of foreign Direct Investment in ASEAN, is a product of the work of the task force in generating and harmonizing those statistics. It should be a helpful guide for the formulation and implementation of investment policies and for ASEAN cooperation in the promotion of investments.
