The 12^th ASEAN Senior Law Officials Meeting Working Group on Harmonisation of ASEAN Trade Laws (12^th ASLOM WG on HTL), 22^nd ASEAN Senior Law Officials Meeting (22^nd ASLOM), and the 12^th ASEAN Law Ministers Meeting (12^th ALAWMM) were convened on 22-25 January 2024 via video conference and attended by all ASEAN Member States, and the ASEAN Secretariat. Timor-Leste was also in attendance as an observer. The 12^th ALAWMM welcomed the significant progress of negotiations of an ASEAN Extradition Treaty, as well as the successful outcome of the ASEAN-Japan Special Meeting of Justice Ministers and the ASEAN-G7 Justice Ministers’ Interface which were held on 6-7 July 2023 in Tokyo, Japan.
