The 16th Meeting of the ASEAN-Australia Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC) was held on 26 May 2026 at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat. The Meeting reviewed the progress of implementation of the ASEAN-Australia Plan of Action (2025–2029) to Implement the ASEAN-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) and discussed on possible areas of future collaboration. Both sides reaffirmed commitment to further deepening cooperation, particularly by leveraging on the 5th anniversary of the ASEAN-Australia CSP this year.
The Meeting was co-chaired by the Permanent Representative of Indonesia to ASEAN, H.E. M.I. Derry Aman, and Ambassador of Australia to ASEAN, H.E. Tiffany McDonald. The Permanent Representatives of ASEAN Member States to ASEAN or their representatives attended the Meeting, together with representatives from the ASEAN Secretariat.
