The 21st East Asia Forum (EAF) was convened today at Yuxi, Yunnan Province, China. Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Political-Security Community Michael Tene led the ASEAN Secretariat delegation to attend the event. Hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China under the theme of “Joining Hands to Create New Development Opportunities for Shared Peace and Prosperity in East Asia,” the forum focused its discussion on ways to expand ASEAN Plus Three cooperation in emerging industries and sectors, as well as to contribute to enhancing regional resilience in the future.
