2nd Law of the Sea Training for ASEAN Member States, Timor-Leste and ASEAN Secretariat Officials convenes

Officials from ASEAN Member States, Timor-Leste and the ASEAN Secretariat attended the 2nd Law of the Sea Training on 2-4 December 2024 in Jakarta. The three-day training was delivered by Australian National Centre for Ocean Resources & Security (ANCORS), University of Wollongong, and aimed to enhance participants’ knowledge and understanding on the law of the sea, following its first iteration in Bali in November last year.

Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Political-Security Community, H.E. Dato’ Astanah Abdul Aziz, delivered the Opening Remarks, along with her counterpart, Ambassador of Australia to ASEAN, H.E. Tiffany McDonald.

The training was funded by the Australian Government through the ASEAN-Australia Political Security Partnership.
