Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr Kao Kim Hourn participated in the 31st ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC) Council Meeting held at Luang Prabang, Lao PDR. The ASCC Council discussed strategic directions for a responsive, inclusive, and sustainable ASEAN, and exchanged views on the development of ASCC Strategic Plan, which will be an integral part of the ASEAN Community Vision 2045. The meeting also congratulated Lao PDR for assuming the ASEAN Chairmanship in 2024 and reaffirmed its commitment to support the ASCC priorities for the year.
