Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today participated in the 56th ASEAN Economic Ministers (AEM) in Vientiane, Lao PDR.
The Meeting discussed the progress of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) and reaffirmed ASEAN’s steadfast commitment to regional economic integration amidst the increasing challenges posed by global economic fragmentation, geopolitical tensions, and climate changes. The meeting emphasised ASEAN’s strategic focus on promoting transformative sectors, such as the digital and green economy, to reinforce ASEAN’s position as an epicentre for growth.
