During his Working Visit to Chile, Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, sat down in a media interview with Diario Financiero. In the interview, SG Dr. Kao explained the purpose of his trip as the first Secretary-General of ASEAN to visit Chile and the Latin American region, as well as discussed potential areas of mutual interest to strengthen the ASEAN-Chile Development Partnership, such as promoting greater trade, investment, tourism, and connectivity. SG Dr. Kao also shared his views on Chile’s request for accession to the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) agreement, among others.
