JAKARTA, 30 November 2020 – The eighth issue of the ASEAN Economic Integration Brief (AEIB) is released today.

A special feature article by the Minister of Industry and Trade of Viet Nam Tran Tuan Anh,,  Chair of the ASEAN Economic Ministers and the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) Council 2020, highlights AEC’s key progress and achievements this year and Viet Nam’s vision for the Community moving forward.

In a special interview, Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for the AEC Aladdin D. Rillo shares his views on ASEAN’s recovery challenges and outlook and introduces the recently adopted ASEAN Comprehensive Recovery Framework.

As regular features of the AEIB, this issue includes an overview of the regional economic outlook, the latest updates on the AEC, as well as the latest key economic indicators relevant to the region. It also includes an infographic illustrating the ASEAN Sustainable Development Goal Indicators dashboard.
