During his participation in the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2025, in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland, Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, met with the President of Timor-Leste, H.E. José Manuel Ramos-Horta, on 22 January 2025.
Their discussions centred on Timor-Leste’s Roadmap towards ASEAN’s full membership. Dr. Kao reaffirmed ASEAN’s commitment to supporting Timor-Leste’s integration journey and highlighted the importance of aligning shared aspirations for regional unity and long-term prosperity.
