- The Twenty Fourth ASEAN and China Transport Ministers Meeting (24th ATM+China) was held on 20 November 2025, in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar. The Meeting was co-chaired by H.E. Mr. Mya Tun Oo, Union Minister for Transport and Communications of Myanmar, and H.E. Mr. Li Yang, Vice Minister for Transport of the People’s Republic of China. The Meeting was preceded by the Twenty-Fourth ASEAN and China Senior Transport Officials Meeting (24th STOM+China) held on 18 November 2025.
- The Meeting acknowledged the significance of the ASEAN-China Air Transport Agreement and its Protocols 1, 2, and 3, and noted the ongoing discussions between both sides on the implementation of the Agreement and the progressive liberalisation of air services. The Meeting recognised that enhancing air connectivity remains central to advancing the ASEAN-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and encouraged both sides to strengthen cooperation towards a more liberalised and mutually beneficial air transport arrangement. The Meeting looked forward to continued dialogue on the possible development of additional Protocols to facilitate greater market access, the exchange of traffic rights, and improved connectivity between and beyond ASEAN and China.
