Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, this morning met with the Chairman of the Singapore Institute of International Affairs (SIIA), Prof. Simon Tay, at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat. They exchanged views on the ASEAN Think Tanks Summit (ATTS), the third edition of which is commencing today and will be held until 15 September 2026. The meeting underscored the important role of think tanks, including platforms such as the ATTS, in the ASEAN Community-building process and discussed how to ensure their active and meaningful participation in implementing ASEAN 2045: Our Shared Future.
