ASEAN Minerals Policy and Investment Guidebook presents a comprehensive overview of the minerals landscape in ASEAN Member States. It provides both regional and country-level insights of the geological potential, prevalent institutional structures, policy and regulatory frameworks, incentives and mechanisms influencing capital flows into the minerals sector. The regional overview is accompanied by country profiles that bring to the fore data and information relevant to the sector, covering exploration, production, processing, downstream linkages and post-mining rehabilitation.

This publication is a key initiative of the Working Group on Trade and Investment in Minerals (WGTIM) under the ASEAN Minerals Cooperation within AMCAP-III Phase 2 (2021-2025). Developed following a regional workshop held in Lao PDR in 2025 and subsequent consultations with WGTIM Focal Points, the Guidebook reflects national perspectives and strategic priorities, offering a clearer understanding of regional market dynamics and emerging investment opportunities.
