Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, on 17 September 2026, held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Zhou Tian, Vice Minister of Emergency Management of the People’s Republic of China, in Nanning, China, on the sidelines of 23rd China-ASEAN Expo.

The two sides discussed the development and advancement of ASEAN–China cooperation on disaster management, as well as other platforms for sharing experiences, strengthening mutual understanding, and exploring practical avenues for enhanced cooperation and partnership to contribute to the resilience and well-being of our peoples, in line with the ASEAN–China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) and in support of the realisation of ASEAN 2045: Our Shared Future.
