The Award Ceremony of the 2022 China-ASEAN Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition (CAIEC) took place at the ASEAN Secretariat today.

The competition concluded successfully in January 2023 in China and the ceremony at the ASEAN Secretariat was held to acknowledge ASEAN Member States’ (AMS) participation in the first-ever China-ASEAN Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. 

Deputy Secretary-General for ASEAN Economic Community Satvinder Singh and Ambassador of China to ASEAN Hou Yanqi handed the awards over to representatives from the Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN (CPR) on behalf of the winners from AMS.

The competition, which attracted 71 groups of enthusiastic entrepreneurs from ASEAN and China, was co-hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology China and the ASEAN Secretariat through ASEAN Committee on Science, Technology, and Innovation (COSTI).  In her remarks, Ambassador Hou Yanqi promised that the competition would be bigger and more attractive in the following years to come.
