PASAY CITY, 27 AUGUST 2026 – The ASEAN Committee on Sustainable Infrastructure (ACSI) convened its second meeting of the year today under the Philippines’ 2026 ASEAN Chairship at the Philippine International Convention Centre (PICC), Pasay City, Metro Manila, the Philippines. The meeting was chaired by Joseph J Capuno, Undersecretary of the Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DEPDev) of the Philippines, and was attended by all ASEAN Member States.
The meeting deliberated on the progress of implementing the ASEAN Connectivity Strategic Plan (ACSP) and the ASEAN Sustainable Infrastructure Action Plan (SIAP) 2026–2030 during its first year of implementation, including cooperation and capacity building activities on sustainable infrastructure. ACSI welcomed the completion of a promotional booklet and an informational video on the updated ASEAN Infrastructure Pipeline, which bring together priority infrastructure projects across the region, raising their visibility among potential investors and partners.
ACSI continued to welcome opportunities to strengthen cooperation with ASEAN’s External Partners to support sustainable infrastructure cooperation and development.
The representatives of ACSI include officials from agencies responsible for national planning and development, transport, and public works.
