JAKARTA, 22-23 November 2023 –  The ASEAN Secretariat held a forum to develop necessary action plan in implementing the Regional Guidelines on Sustainable Agriculture. Officials from the Ministries of Agriculture and Forestry of ASEAN countries and Timor-Leste discussed various national initiatives which contributes to the implementation of said Regional Guidelines.

Representatives of the Japan International Research Center for Agricultural Sciences (JIRCAS), private companies and university researchers, provided valuable inputs on the discussion. JIRCAS introduced the catalogue dissemination technology which contributes to the improvement of production potential and sustainability in the Asia-Monsoon Region. The said catalogue has 31 technologies for agriculture, forestry and fisheries.
