JAKARTA, 4 June 2024 – Representatives from ASEAN Member States under the ASEAN Consultative Committee for Standards and Quality (ACCSQ) convened a workshop on 3-4 June at the ASEAN Headquarters to discuss the Draft  End Term Review (ETR) of the ASEAN Standards and Conformance Strategic Plan 2016–2025. 

The ETR compiles and analyses the actions and outputs following the implementation of the Strategic Plan as a precursor to the development of the post-2025 Sectoral Plan. The review was conducted against the six strategic thrusts and activity programmes of the ASEAN Standards and Conformance Strategic Plan 2016-2025.

The review covers activities undertaken by ACCSQ and its subsidiary bodies comprising of three Working Groups, ten Product Working Groups, their task forces, and joint sectoral committees, covering the period from January 2016 to December 2023.

The final ETR document is targeted to be endorsed by ACCSQ by the end of Q2 2024. The ETR is being supported by the UK International Development through the ASEAN-UK Economic Integration Programme and implemented by the British Standards Institution.
