JAKARTA, 6 December 2024 – The Knowledge Transfer Workshop on the ASCC Database for Monitoring and Evaluation (ADME) Systems took place on 5-6 December, via videoconference. The workshop was attended by 131 participants composed of representatives from representative of Senior Officials Committee for ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (SOCA), ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC) Sectoral Body, ASCC Sectoral Divisions, and ASCC Secondment Officers. This workshop reoriented and trained the registered users of the ADME System on effectively utilising the system and features and navigating its dashboards.
In his opening remarks, San Lwin, Deputy Secretary-General for ASCC, highlighted the remarkable progress of the ADME System since its launch in March 2024. He stressed that the Knowledge Transfer would bolster the data management skills and capacities of the ASCC as well as using data in the planning and design, and monitoring and evaluation of its initiatives.
The workshop employed a lecture and hands-on approach where participants engaged in hands-on activities in navigating the features of the ADME System. It included discussions and hands-on session allowed the participants to exchange views and experience the enhanced features on the ADME System, and share information on proposed indicators that could be included in the ADME System. The workshop also underscored the relevance and effectiveness of the ADME System in providing socio-cultural and ASCC Blueprint implementation data that are relevant to the work of the ASCC. The ADME System is a web-based database and dashboard system that provides comprehensive, reliable and timely data to monitor the progress of the ASCC Blueprint 2025 implementation and sectoral workplan initiatives and enhances the statistical and analytical capacity of the ASCC in programme designing and implementation, and policymaking.
