DA NANG, 22 February 2023 – The ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on disaster management (AHA Centre), in collaboration with the ASEAN Secretariat, organised the Exchange Forum on ASEAN’s practices on data disaggregation in disaster management: a way towards Protection, Gender, and Inclusiveness (PGI).
The forum aimed to bring relevant stakeholders to facilitate inter-country knowledge sharing and exchange of experiences and expertise on data disaggregation practices and capacity of ASEAN Member States.
Members of the Technical Working Group on Protection, Gender and Inclusion (TWG-PGI) including the ASEAN Committee on Disaster Management Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand, Viet Nam; Chair of the Senior Officials Meeting on Social Welfare and Development; ASEAN Secretariat, AHA Centre, Mission of Canada to ASEAN; and UN Women were invited to attend the event.
The forum generated recommendations for strengthening data disaggregation in disaster management.
