As one of the oldest reserves in the country, this ASEAN Heritage Park covers 1,300 square kilometres in Lampung province in the southern part of Sumatra Island. The national park consists of a lowland forest ecosystem with freshwater swamp forest, grassland/shrub, and forest on the coast of Sumatra. It is also the habitat of the Sumatran elephants.
