We, Member States of ASEAN and its Observer State, Timor-Leste, reaffirm our commitment to promote and protect human rights in our region based on the principles of cooperation and genuine dialogue, while also acknowledging the important role of the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR) as the overarching institution responsible for such endeavours.

We pledge to strengthen human rights cooperation in the region, including through implementing the ASEAN Leaders’ Declaration on the ASEAN Human Rights Dialogue adopted during the 43^rd ASEAN Summit.
