The ASEAN Post-Ministerial Conference with India was held in Kuala Lumpur today. The Meeting reaffirmed both sides’ commitment towards further deepening the ASEAN-India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. The Ministers noted with satisfaction the robust implementation of the ASEAN-India Plan of Action (2021–2025) and its Annex, and adopted the new ASEAN-India Plan of Action (2026–2030), which will guide both sides in realising the full potential of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership over the next five years. The Meeting also discussed ways of further advancing cooperation and exchanged views on regional and international issues of mutual interest and concern. The Meeting was attended by the ASEAN Foreign Ministers or their representatives, Minister of State for External Affairs of India, H.E. Mr. Pabitra Margherita, and Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Political-Security Community, Dato’ Astanah Abdul Aziz. Timor-Leste attended as Observer.
