ASEAN Post-Ministerial Conference with the U.S. reviews progress of ASEAN-U.S. Comprehensive Strategic Partnership

The ASEAN Post-Ministerial Conference with U.S. convened in Vientiane, Lao PDR today, was attended by the ASEAN Foreign Ministers or their representatives, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr. Kao Kim Hourn. Timor-Leste attended as an Observer. The Meeting reviewed the progress of the ASEAN-US Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) and reaffirmed the commitment of both sides to further advancing the CSP. The Meeting agreed to develop a Plan of Action for the period 2026-2030, which will guide ASEAN and the U.S. in realising the full potential of the CSP in the next five years. The Ministers also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common interest and concern.
