The ASEAN Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM) convened today in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The discussions focused on advancing ASEAN Community-building efforts, strengthening ASEAN’s external relations, and preparing for the 46th ASEAN Summit, in line with Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship theme, “Inclusivity and Sustainability”. The Meeting was attended by ASEAN SOM Leaders and the Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for the ASEAN Political-Security Community. Timor-Leste attended as Observer.
