The ASEAN Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM) took place today in Vientiane. The Senior Officials discussed a wide array of issues, including Lao PDR’s ASEAN Chairmanship priorities, ASEAN’s external relations, and preparations for the forthcoming 57^th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (AMM)/Post-Ministerial Conferences (PMCs) and Related Meetings on 25-27 July 2024. All ASEAN Member States and the Deputy Secretary-General for ASEAN for the ASEAN Political-Security Community attended the Meeting. Timor-Leste participated as Observer.
