The ASEAN Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM) was held on 3 September at the ASEAN Secretariat and was attended by all ASEAN Member States and Timor-Leste as observer. The Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Political-Security Community also attended the meeting. The meeting was convened in preparation for the upcoming 43rd ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Jakarta and discussed key issues such as external relations and the priorities and deliverables of Indonesia’s ASEAN Chairmanship in line with this year’s theme of “ASEAN Matters: Epicentrum of Growth”.
