The second episode of the monthly regional program “ASEAN Today” will be all about Bali.
The 19th Summit was held in Nusa Dua, Bali, from November 17-19, and the program covers all major accomplishments of the regional gathering including Myanmar’s confirmation as the ASEAN Chair for 2014. It also includes a summary of the East Asia Summit, which included U.S. President Barack Obama for the first time.
Co-anchors Dalton Tanonaka of Indonesia’s Metro TV in Jakarta and Pham Cam Nhung of Vietnam TV in Hanoi bring the program alive with other segments that include “Business Line,” “People Parade,” and “Destination ASEAN.” The Southeast Asia stars of the hit TV show “The Kitchen Musical” are also featured.
The program is distributed for broadcast on the final weekend of each month. It debuted on October 30, and is seen in the ASEAN region and beyond. “ASEAN Today” was rated number one on Metro TV last week. The next episode airs in Indonesia on Sunday, November 27, at 10:30 a.m. Jakarta time, live-streamed at http://www.metrotvnews.com.
