JAKARTA, 5 October 2018 – The ASEAN Women’s Circle (AWC) of Jakarta will hold its Annual Bazaar on 1-2 November at the Hibiscus Hall of the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta. The theme of this year’s bazaar is Indulge, Shop and Share.

ASEAN Permanent Missions and Dialogue Partners, Embassies and various vendors and exhibitors will take part in the 2-day event. The bazaar serves as a platform to raise the profile of ASEAN Member States’ rich culture and promote the diverse and high quality products of Indonesia.

Items such as handicrafts, batiks, fashion accessories, carpets, home accessories, children wears and toys, apparel for men and women and different cuisines will be sold during the bazaar. One of the highlights of the bazaar is the lucky draw.  Guests can win on the spot prizes from AWC’s generous and loyal patrons.

The opening ceremony will be held on 1 November at 9.30am at the ASEAN Hall.   The ASEAN Secretary-General, Deputy Secretaries-Generals, Permanent Representatives, Ambassadors and their spouses, dignitaries and other friends and guests of AWC are expected to attend the event.

All proceeds from the annual bazaar will be for the benefit of Indonesia Hijau, Ekselensia, Tarbiyan Bunaiya and AWC’s disaster relief fund.
