ASEAN Women’s Circle to hold annual bazaar in Jakarta

JAKARTA, 3 October 2017 – The ASEAN Women’s Circle of Jakarta (AWC) will hold its annual bazaar on 6 and 7 November 2017 at the ASEAN Secretariat as part of its efforts to raise funds for charity.

Over 50 commercial vendors, ASEAN Member States, and ASEAN Dialogue Partners will participate in the two-day event. A variety of diverse and unique products ranging from food and beverages to clothes, jewelry, carpets, handicraft and batik will be on sale at the Hibiscus Hall of the ASEAN Secretariat during the bazaar.

The AWC Annual Bazaar serves as a platform to raise the profile of every ASEAN country’s rich culture and promote the diverse and high quality products of the region. The proceeds from this year’s bazaar are earmarked for donation to prospective charities such as Indonesia Hijau, Pesantren Depok and foundations in Cibubur and Padalarang.

The bazaar will open from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on both days. Entrance tickets are sold at IDR 20,000 and can be purchased on site or in advance.  For more details, please contact AWC at awcjkt@gmail.com.
