ASEAN and Human Rights is a modest attempt to address a persistent question: “To what extent is ASEAN supportive of human rights?” The question often crops up in the course of advocacy efforts of the Working Group for an ASEAN Human Rights Mechanism to engage ASEAN governments and peoples on the initiative to establish an appropriate regional mechanism on human rights.
