Abstract
In an increasingly interconnected global economy, a robust and adaptable competition regime is a fundamental element for sustainable economic development and regional prosperity. The ASEAN Peer Review, as outlined in this ASEAN Competition Law and Policy Peer Review Guidance Document, represents a strategic enhancement to support ASEAN Member States' (AMS) efforts in this critical area. This guidance document builds upon the foundation of the previous guidance document, incorporating valuable lessons learned from the initial peer review pilot exercise and reflecting recent advancements in competition policy and law at both regional and international levels. These revisions are intended to promote broader and more effective enhancement of the document's accessibility and encourage greater utilisation of the ASEAN Peer Review service.
