The Guidelines for Type Approval Control Systems provides rules and procedures for type approval control within the ASEAN Member States. They were approved and endorsed by ACCSQ during the 50th ACCSQ Meeting in June 2018. The guidelines are intended to serve as a common reference document for ASEAN Member States in developing and operating Type Approval Controls on weighing and measuring instruments. This will assist industry by guaranteeing the quality of the products being sold as well as ensuring better protection for the consumers and eliminating fraudulent practices.
