The AIR 2015 gives focus on the implementation and impact of measures across the four pillars of AEC, drawing attention to both the achievements and challenges within the process. The AIR 2015, through its theme chapter, also assesses the progress made through and the achievements of the sectoral approach to regional economic integration in select priority integration sectors and sub-sectors. The AIR 2015 highlights that regional economic integration is ongoing and dynamic, while showing that effective implementation of regional commitments requires broad support, including at the national level.
