The scope of the Protocol includes the following arrangements for preparedness and response phases:
a) Information sharing
b) Assessment
c) Support for decision making
d) Public communication
With the understanding that the Protocol is proposed to strengthen the coordination of ASEAN Member States (MSs) for preparing and responding to nuclear or radiological emergencies, which occur within an ASEAN MS or elsewhere potentially having an impact on the region.
