High quality and up-to-date data are essential to ASEAN’s community-building efforts, particularly in identifying gaps, forecasting needs, as well as informing effective policy responses to both existing and emerging challenges the region faces.

In its 18th iteration, the ASEAN Statistical Yearbook offers a detailed overview of the key socio-economic trends among our ten Member States, including on population, education and health, economic growth, inflation, employment, trade in goods and services, foreign direct investment, transport, tourism, agriculture, as well as manufacturing.

This publication, which presents data series for the period of 2012-2021, was a collaborative effort between the Statistics Division of the ASEAN Secretariat (ASEANstats) and the ASEAN Member State’s National Statistical Offices under the ASEAN Community Statistical System (ACSS) to harmonise and enhance statistical data across the region.
