The ASEAN Work Plan on Education 2026–2030 (hereafter, the “Work Plan”) seeks to guide regional cooperation in education and support ASEAN Member States in strengthening their education systems through a shared framework of priorities, outcomes, programmes, and strategies for the period 2026–2030. It has been developed at a critical juncture for education in the region, as ASEAN advances the implementation of the ASEAN Community Vision 2045 and its accompanying strategic plans.

Against this backdrop, education plays a central role in building a resilient, innovative, dynamic, and people-centred ASEAN by promoting inclusive and transformative learning systems, preparing a highly skilled and competitive workforce, and fostering a stronger sense of ASEAN identity and belonging.
