Across the ASEAN region, Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) face coutnless challenges making a life for themselves. Too often, society's scepticism and stigma trap them in a cycle of poverty and isolation. Since 2014, the R.I.S.E programme by Maybank Foundation has been empowering PWDs through training, coaching and mentroship, equipping them with entrepreneurial skills to build sustainable businesses and improve their livelihoods. Through the programme, thousands of lives have been transformed and uplifted. Breaking Barriers, Building Futures charts the ten-year journey of R.I.S.E and its inspiring success stories. These courgaeous individuals defy the odds daily, proving that with the right support, PWDs can break free of their limitations and build futures of renewed purposes.
