International labour migration in the Association of Southeast Nations (ASEAN) has unquestionably accelerated in a variety of ways. It is estimated that 21.3 million ASEAN nationals live outside of their country, of which some 6.8 million individuals are intra-regional migrants (i.e., those who have moved from one ASEAN Member State to another).
