The Action Roadmap for Sustainable Tourism Development in ASEAN, hereafter the Roadmap, is a holistic and long-term strategic plan for the ASEAN region, which delineates the strategies and essential actions required to attain sustainability objectives within the regional tourism industry. The roadmap builds upon the ASEAN Framework and Sustainable Tourism Development (AFSTD), published in early 2023, following the development of the Study to Develop a Framework on Sustainable Tourism Development in ASEAN in the post COVID-19 Era. This study was conducted by the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) in 2022 for the Tourism Unit of the ASEAN Secretariat, for the information of the ASEAN national tourism organisations (NTOs).
