The Indonesian navy, global maritime fulcrum concept and ASEAN are three interesting entities for further discussion and elaboration. The existence of these entities in a maritime context could bring benefits to not only Indonesia, but also to the Southeast Asia Region as well as the world. The discussion in this book is framed through a number of new ideas and initiatives, which were all presented in various different international forums. The dynamics of strategic environment and technological advancement have pushed the Indonesian Navy to prepare excellent human resources with strong Pancasila characteristic. The Indonesian Navy also plays an important role in the country's national development programs that are in line with GMF and also in supporting the establishment of the ASEAN Community.
