The Association of Southeast Asian Nations’ Model Contractual Clauses (ASEAN MCCs) and Ibero-American Data Protection Network’s Model Contractual Clauses (RIPD MCCs) are model data protection clauses that can be incorporated by data exporters and importers in their contractual arrangements as a basis to allow the transfer of personal data across borders. The clauses are a voluntary tool to ensure that personal data continues to benefit from a high level of protection in case of international transfers and ensure compliance with applicable legal requirements.
