This book focuses on the production of Brunei woven traditional textiles. Textile weaving, locally known as kain tenunan is one of the traditional activities that have been inherited from generation to generation. It is still maintained and managed by Brunei Malay community. The term ‘traditional’ refers to the handmade (non-machine operated), locally woven textiles that can be distinguished with other manufactured textiles in Brunei.
