The book Selected Foreign Policy Speeches by Syed Hamid Albar, published by IDFR in 2005, is a compilation of 75 selected speeches and statements made by The Honourable Dato' Seri Syed Hamid Albar over the past six years since assuming the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia, in 1999. The speeches and statements are organised thematically in the book, covering areas such as foreign policy, ASEAN, Palestine, the Organisation of Islamic Conference (OIC), peace and security, the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), South-South cooperation, the economy, humanitarian assistance, human rights, terrorism and bilateral relations.
