Abstract

The house in Southeast Asia covers traditional domestic architectural forms from the earliest reconstructions of Dong Son culture through the different regional variants on the mainland and in the archipelago. Special attention is given to the way building materials, mostly wood, affected structures, and there is a chapter devoted to the techniques of roof construction.
