1. The 28th ASEAN-China Summit was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 28 October 2025. The Summit was chaired by the Honourable Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia and the Chair of ASEAN. The Summit was attended by ASEAN Member States and H.E. Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China. The Secretary-General of ASEAN was also in attendance.
2. We reiterated our support for Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship, under the theme “Inclusivity and Sustainability,” reflecting our shared commitment to regional peace, security, stability, and prosperity within an inclusive and sustainable framework. We congratulated Malaysia on the successful convening of the 58th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (AMM) and Related Meetings, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 9 to 11 July 2025.
