BELITUNG, 3 July 2023- Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Economic Community Satvinder Singh attended the ASEAN Blue Economy Forum in Belitung, Indonesia.

The forum served as a platform to facilitate an exchange of views among ASEAN Member States on the emerging trends on blue economy. They discussed the progress in the development of the ASEAN Blue Economy Framework, one of Indonesia’s Priority Economic Deliverables under its ASEAN Chairmanship this year.

The forum consisted of a Ministerial Panel and a roundtable discussion among members of the High-Level Task Force on ASEAN Economic Integration, the sectoral body responsible for overseeing the ASEAN Blue Economy Framework’s development. Two working level meetings  focusing on blue economy collaboration and the enablers for blue finance initiative were held on the sidelines of the forum.
