The ASEAN-China Week 2024 kicked off on 12 August in Changzhi, China, marking a significant milestone in the 2024 ASEAN-China Year of People-to-People Exchanges. Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for Community and Corporate Affairs Nararya S. Soeprapto and ASEAN-China Centre Secretary-General Shi Zhongjun officiated the ceremony, along with ambassadors and representatives from the Embassies of the ASEAN Member States in China and high-level officials from trade and investment sectors. Organised by the ASEAN-China Centre in cooperation with Changzhi City, the weeklong event themed “ASEAN-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership: Achieving Prosperity through Innovation,” brought together officials, business leaders, and stakeholders from ASEAN and China to foster cooperation and understanding. With a focus on trade, investment, tourism, and cultural exchange, the week-long programme aims to boost economic prosperity and strengthen people-to-people ties between the two regions.
