Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Economic Community Satvinder Singh attended the World Economic Forum (WEF)’s Annual Meeting of the New Champions in Dalian, China earlier this week.

DSG Satvinder Singh spoke at several panel discussions, highlighting ASEAN’s priorities such as the ASEAN Digital Economy Framework Agreement as well as ASEAN Strategy on Carbon Neutrality. Another area highlighted at the Forum was the importance of supporting ASEAN micro, small, and medium enterprises in their digital transformation journey and in its integration into the global value chain.

At the sidelines of the Forum, DSG Satvinder Singh engaged in various meetings with business leaders and academia, discussing the futures of automotive industry, talent mobility, and sustainable finance, among others.
