Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for Socio-Cultural Community San Lwin delivered an intervention at the High-Level Panel Discussion during the 18th Regional Consultative Committee of the Asian Disaster Preparedness Centre held in Bangkok, Thailand on 23 January 2025. The panel discussion focuses on the role of intergovernmental and international organisations in promoting regional cooperation for disaster risk reduction and climate resilience.

In his intervention, DSG San Lwin highlighted the significant roles of regional organisations, particularly ASEAN, in enhancing resilience among its Member States. He shared ASEAN’s experience, emphasising its pivotal role in facilitating closer collaboration and coordination among its Member States.
